Where to find the numbers in Ads Manager

Ad spend: the “Amount spent” column. Sales: the “Purchases” column. Revenue: “Purchases conversion value”. Use the same date range for all three.

Product cost, shipping and payment fee come from your own store, not from Meta.

The formula

Profit = Revenue − Refunds − Costs of each sale − Ad spend

Meta’s ROAS (“Purchase ROAS”) is revenue ÷ amount spent. It doesn’t know your costs, so it can’t tell you if you made money. Compare it with your break-even ROAS to find out.

Questions

Does Meta’s reported revenue match my store?

Often not exactly. Meta counts purchases it attributes to your ads using its attribution setting, so numbers can differ from your store. Use the source you trust and stay consistent.

Does this work for Instagram ads?

Yes. Instagram ads run through Meta Ads Manager and use the same columns.

Can I import all my campaigns?

Yes, in the app: export a report from Ads Manager as CSV and AdMargins calculates the profit of every campaign.
